Need for improving quality of education: Javadekar

New Delhi, Feb 23: Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar on Thursday emphasised on the need for improving and providing quality education to students across the country on a priority basis. “The government is working actively on providing quality education to students, as it believes that only a proper and quality education has the potential of developing a good citizen with strong character. “There was a need for improving and providing quality education to students across the country on a priority basis,” he said after laying the foundation stone of a Kendriya Vidyalaya in Shahdara here. Javadekar said that process of recruiting more than 6,000 teaching staff for the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has begun. He also opined that sports activities are also an import aspect of education as students learn and gain a feeling of collectiveness through sports.  (IANS)
