NEIGRIHMS’s annual day observed

SHILLONG, March 7: The North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regiol Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) observed the 7th Annual cum Convocation Day on Monday. The Indira Gandhi Oration was delivered by Prof RN Salhan, MCH Consultant SAARC & Ex Director NEIGRIHMS who rrated a brief history about Indira Gandhi, whose me the Institute bears. Prof. RN Salhan stressed on reduction of infant death in the 8 SAARC countries. Prof Vanda Raphael, Dean NEIGRIHMS delivered the welcome speech followed by Prof. P. Bhattacharyya, Director NEIGRIHMS who administered the Hippocratic Oath for the Outgoing MBBS students. The chief guest of the function Prof GK Sing, Ex Director AIIMS Pat emphasized upon the need for the graduating doctors & nurses to be academically oriented and work with a smile. The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. GK Medhi, Organizing Chairman.  The best outgoing MBBS student was awarded to Dr Subronil Paul and the best outgoing B.Sc nursing student was awarded to Angela Muktieh for the year 2016.
