Madrid, May 5 : Following their loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-fil, Manchester City head coach Manuel Pellegrini has said neither team deserved to win as both the first and second leg matches were even contests with defenders domiting strikers. “I’m not happy because we couldn’t create chances. We didn’t deserve to lose because both teams were very similar. We were missing David Silva and Samir sri and Yaya Toure was coming back from an injury,” Pellegrini was quoted as saying by uefa.com after the match on Wednesday. “Neither team deserved to win; there was a good work from both teams and little football. Both matches were very even. Defences won over forwards.” The City coach also termed Real Madrid as a fortute side. “We feel a very bitter taste. We didn’t deserve to lose. They had a lot of fortune with their goal. Neither of the teams created much. We weren’t clear enough in our ideas and they didn’t allow us to create chances. The fair result would have been a draw. Madrid were fortute,” he said. IANS
