Nepal thanks Aruchal

Itagar, May 16: The Nepal government has appreciated Aruchal Pradesh for sending relief materials to the quake-ravaged Himalayan Kingdom on May 10 last.

“The neighborly, cordial, humanitarian and tangible support made by Chief Minister bam Tuki is highly appreciated by the government of Nepal. In this moment of great shock, we are indebted by your sense of brotherhood and deepest sentiment,” Assistant Chief District Officer, Jhapa said in a letter to Tuki.

Meanwhile, the chief minister in a letter to Union Home Affairs Minister Rajth Singh today while informing him about the letter said that as per his directive, the state government had sent 1000 tents and other relief materials to Nepal.

While reiterating state government’s commitment to contribute in every possible manner to help Nepal restore normalcy, Tuki in his letter further disclosed that the state government employeed have already doted one day salary to devastated Nepal as a solidarity gesture and various NGOs and individuals were doing their bit to send relief to Nepal in their own small ways.
