Netaji's 119th birth anniversary observed accross State

KALAIGAON, January 23: The Kalaigaon Anchalik committee of All Assam Bengali Youth Federation (ABYSF) observed the 119th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at Kalaigaon on Saturday with patriotic fervour.

The day-long programme started with tri-colour flag hoisting by Kamal Prashad Sarmah. After that Sanjoy Das, president of Kaligaon ABYSF, hosted the organization’s flag.  Lamp lighting was done by Sahadeb Das, founder president of All Assam Bengali Youth Federation. Meanwhile, several followers of Netaji like Bakul Sarkar, Bikash Devth and Mani Das offered flowers before Netaji’s statue. On the occasion, a semir was held on the ideology of Netaji in the afternoon.

MARGHERITA: Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s 119th birth anniversary was observed on Saturday at Ram Krish Bidyapith School Playground, Margherita.

The programme begin with the hoisting of the tiol flag by former Minister and Margherita MLA Pradyut Bordoloi. The tiol anthem was sung by school children.  Pradyut Bordoloi in his speech said that Netaji had made immense contribution to India’s Independence. He appealed to people to follow the ideology and principles of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

After lighting of lamp and offering flowers at the statue of Netaji by Margherita Town Committee former ward commissioner Deep Rekha Chetia, a rally was taken out by school children, which was flagged off by Sadhan Debth. Various games and art competition were also held among the school children.

Golaghat: All Assam Bengali Youth Students Federation (AABYSF) Golaghat unit on Saturday observed the 119th birth anniversary of  Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose with great enthusiasm at Town Bengali High School in Golaghat.

A colourful procession was taken out from the school premises in which people of all age groups participated. Slogans of patriotism echoed in the town.

 Golaghat Jatiya Vidyalaya also observed Netaji’s birth anniversary at the school premises.

Lakhimpur: The 119th birthday anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was observed at various social places of Lakhimpur district on Saturday. In the morning, members of Lakhimpur district Rastriya Swayemsevak Sangh (RSS) arranged a road march from the office of Vasudev Kalyan Trust throughout the town. Moreover, a moving truck was arranged to spread knowledge about Netaji and his contribution.

Hojai: The RSS unit of Hojai on Saturday observed the 119th birth anniversary of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose at Bihutoli playground premises in Hojai district.A road march was also held in tun Bazar of Hojai where RSS workers and BJP workers participated.

Dhekiajuli: The 119th birth anniversary of  Netaji  Subhash Chandra Bose   was observed in Dhekiajuli  with a colorful procession  by different organizations on Saturday.

The Dhekiajuli unit of All Bengali Yuva Chhatra Parishad  observed the day with  fanfare in the Dhekiajuli Swahid Maidan campus. Early in the morning a colourful procession was brought out with the students of Netaji HS School, Sister Nivedita High School and the citizens of Dhekiajuli. Local MLA  Habul Chakraborty and Dhekiajuli Municipality chairperson Ranjita Jaisowal also took part in the procession. Later different cultural programmes were organized at the Swahid Maidan campus by the organizers. Dhekiajuli Chattal Samity also observed Netaji’s birth anniversary at the office of the Samity in Dhekiajuli.  Gauhati Higha Court advocate Dilip Mazumder, former headmaster of LOKD LP School Babul Mazumder, Dhekiajuli Chattal Samity president Pradip Dey spoke about Netaji’s courage, patriotism and revolutiory.
