Netaji's 119th birth anniversary to be celebrated in Guwahati

GUWAHATI, Jan 21: The 119th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose will be celebrated at Paltan Bazar in the city with patriotic fervour on Saturday. The All Assam Netaji Birthday Celebration Committee has organized a day-long programme on the occasion.

The vice-president of the organizing committee, Avijit Mazumdar in a press meet here today said that Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi will attend as chief guest in the open session of the birth anniversary celebration programme. An art competition will also be held as part of the event. Talking to reporters, Mazumdar said that the birthday of Netaji should be celebrated in every school of the State so that students can make an idea about his patriotism and sacrifice for the country.  

The press meet was also addressed by MLA and president of celebration committee Robin Bordoloi.
