By our Sports Reporter

GUWAHATI, May 16: Newly appointed coach of the North East United FC Sergio Ferias made a two-day trip to Guwahati  to see the different infrastructures which will be used by his team during the next edition of the ISL. Apart from the Indira Gandhi Athletic stadium, the main venue of the competition, Ferias also visited Nehru stadium today to check the ground. Ankur Dutta, the General Secretary of the Assam football Association, who accompanied Ferias during his visit to Nehru stadium, talking to The Sentinel said that the newly appointed coach is happy with the turf and has shown interest to use the ground as their practise venue.

Dutta said, “ Ferias has shown interest to use the Nehru stadium as flood light facility is available here. All the matches of the ISL are held under floodlight  and as the main ground of the Indira Gandhi Athletic stadium is not available for the practise the team were earlier forced to do it on day light. Nehru stadium can solve this problem of North East united FC as the floodlight of the stadium is upgraded before the SAF Games and Ferias has also shown interest to use it as practise venue.”
