New Dhubri SP takes charge

DHUBRI, August 6: Newly appointed Superintendent of Police, Dhubri, Diganta Bora on Wednesday assumed charge and said that maintaining the law and order situation will be his first priority. Seeking people’s cooperation, the SP said, “As Independence day is approaching, militant outfits might try to strike in order to prove their existence, we are alert in order to avert any untoward incident, we seek active corporation of the public in this regard.” He also added that the media should act hand in hand with the police in order to protect the society.
