New fire tender fleet flagged off at ONGC

SIVASAGAR, April 18: The week-long observance of Fire Service Week’ commenced at ONGC, Assam Asset with the theme, ‘Prevent Fire Accident- Promote tion’s Development’.

On the occasion VP Mahawar, Director (Onshore), accompanied by Budhin Deuri, ED-Asset Mager and senior executives of the asset paid homage at Central Fire Station, Sivasagar to the brave fire personnel who sacrificed their life for the noble cause of saving life and property.

To mark the event, VP Mahawar, Director (onshore) and Budhin Deuri, ED-Asset Mager flagged off two Multipurpose Fire Tenders (25 ton capacity each). Director (Onshore) while flagging off the new fire tenders with latest technology, expressed his confidence that the addition of the fleets would definitely strengthen the existing capacity of Fire Services, Assam to deal with any emergency.

It is worth mentioning that Fire Services of ONGC Assam Asset has also been rendering its services to the areas in and around ONGC operatiol area in case of emergency. A soft copy of a booklet on ‘Fire Safety - Prevention and Protection’ was also unveiled by Director (Onshore) on the occasion. The programme began with the administration of fire pledge by Director (Onshore), ED- Asset Mager, Assam Asset, Budhin Deuri and Bhavesh Mishra, GM- Head MM and Support Mager in Hindi, Assamese and English respectively, followed by lighting of lamp marking the iuguration of Fire Service Week-2016.
