New forum formed

SHILLONG, Sept 13: Mawlai MDC P T Sawkmie along with his supporters on Tuesday formed the Mawlai Constituency Progressive Forum (MCPF) with an aim to further better the services to the people of Mawlai constituency. “The MCPF will fight for the hardship faced by the people of Mawlai and it will also serve as an avenue or channel to bring development into the region,” Sawkmie said.

Informing that the Forum has countless issues to be taken up in the near future for the betterment of the people of Mawlai constituency, Sawkmie President of MCPF said, “With the existences of this Forum we will be able to further look into the needs of the people residing at Mawlai constituency.” The office bearer of MCPF includes P T Sawkmie as President, B Makdoh, S Biam and R Kharsyntiew as vice president, F Massar General Secretary, S Nongrum Publicity Secretary, L Mylliem Umlong Treasurer and J Dkhar Organising Secretary beside others. Meanwhile, the Women Wings office bearers include G Pathaw as Working President, Stella Warjri General Secretary, Lucy Nongbet Joint Secretary beside others. Members of the youth wing include F Jyrwa as President and A Lyndoh as General Secretary.
