New rules for HSLC/AHM exams

GUWAHATI: The SEBA (Board of Secondary Education, Assam) is going to hold HSLC/AHM (High School Leaving Certificate/Assam High Madrassa) examinations from the second week of February2019 under mandatory CCTV surveillance with clear visual, apart from following new rules by invigilators and examinees as well.

SEBA held a workshop – Holding Examinations and Evaluation – with the participation of all district adhividhya parishads, district programme officers, mentors for examination centres, and others on the SEBA premises in Guwahati on Saturday.

SEBA Chairman Ramesh Jain said: “A set of new rules meant for invigilators and examinees will be introduced in the HSLC/AHM examinations in 2019. Compulsory CCTV surveillance with clear visual is a must for every examination centres. There will be stricter rules for the use of mobile phones in examinations halls. The use of black ink in the examination is compulsory.”

SEBA secretary Suranjana Senapati said: “Now on invigilators cannot sign with short signature. They will have to write their full manes. They will also have to give details of additional sheets to be taken by examinees who will also have to mention the number of additional sheets in a specified box on the first page of their answer booklets. This year around 3.57 lakh candidates are going to take the examinations in 857 centres. District and police administrations have also been involved in the examination process.”
