New scheme on anvil for BPL students: Gogoi

GUWAHATI, Feb 15: The State government will launch a new scheme for the BPL students with focus on the girl students. In a statement today, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said that the new scheme will benefit the BPL students passing out in Matriculation examition so that they can pursue higher studies. The scheme will focus on the girl students. Gogoi also hoped that the students appearing in the Higher Secondary fil examition in Commerce, Arts and Science streams commencing today and forthcoming High School Leaving Certificate and High Madrassa examitions would be able to put up good performances thus resulting in increase in the pass percentages.
