Itagar, June 4: State Governor J P Rajkhowa made a surprise visit to harlagun Railway Station on Wednesday evening and inspected the bogies, hygiene, security setup, amenities for the passengers and catering services. He was surprised to find idequate arrangements at the station. There was no provision for supply of drinking water, tea and food stuff as not a single shop has been awarded license to open catering service, a Raj Bhawan communiqué informed. The governor expressed displeasure on the state of the Railway Station. He pointed that although railway is new and launched by Prime Minister rendra Modi with much fanfare, but the wagons are very old. "The Station is under-staff and cleanliness is not in accordance to the vision of Prime Minister's Swachchh Bharat," he said. Interacting with railway officials, Rajkhowa pointed out that the bogies should be replaced with new ones, cleanliness must be maintained at all cost and it should be adequately staffed. Accompanied by First Lady Rita Rajkhowa, the Governor also visited the harlagun helipad, the communiqué added.
