Newly created Charaideo district iugurated

Sori/Mahmora, Feb 13: State Education Minister Sarat Borkotaky and PWD Minister Ajanta Neog today formally iugurated the newly created Charaideo district in the presence of huge gathering at Sori Public playground here.  The State Government on August 15 last year had announced about the creation of Charaideo district with Sori as its headquarter.

 A public meeting was held on the occasion here which was attended by former union minister Pawan Singh Ghatowar, Parliamentary Secretaries Sarat Saikia and Suhsanta Borgohain, Principal Secretary of Education Pawan Kr Borthakur, Joint Secretary of Education Ramesh Chandra Jain, Upper Assam Division Commissioner Mukti Gogoi, DC Sivasagar Birendra Mittal, newly Joined DC of Charaideo Monimala Phukon Borthakur and other top officials of the state government.

Borkotoky in his speech briefed about the development initiative taken by the State Government in Sori constituency.  PWD Minister Ajanta Neog in her speech requested the public to offer helping hand to Sarat Borkotaky for development of Charaideo district. Group songs, bihu and Jhumur dance were performed on the occasion.
