Newly-elected panchayat members felicitated in Gossaigaon

Gossaigaon: The newly-elected panchayat members under Hatidhura block were felicitated at the premises of Hathidura Block development office on Tuesday evening. The programme was chaired by Chrisostom Tudu, APCC secretary, and newly-elected presidents, vice-presidents and members of the panchayat areas under Hathidura block attended the programme along with local people.

Hathidhura BDO Naba Kumar Barua also attended the programme which was organized by the Hathidhura block panchayat. Usman Goni Seikh from Congress, the newly-elected Hathidhura block president, in his speech said that the programme had been organized to resolve the differences among the elected members belonging to different political parties so that they could work smoothly to fulfil the promises made during the panchayat polls.

APPC secretary Chrisostom Tudu said that the result of the panchayat polls in the Hatidhura area showed that people were once again putting their faith in the Congress again. He urged all the Congress workers of the area to work for the public and simultaneously instructed the newly-elected Hatidhura block president to work as assured in the manifesto of the party for the panchayat election.
