SILCHAR, June 18: To imbibe yoga as a way of life among the railway employees, the Northeast Frontier Railway is going to celebrate the Intertiol Yoga Day on next Tuesday with a mass yoga camp to be organized in collaboration with the Art of Living foundation, a renowned NGO, involved in humanitarian projects with special emphasis on stress elimition. This mass yogic exercise will be held at Railway Stadium in Maligaon. Along with that workshops and camps will also be organized by the five divisions of NF Railway at their respective divisiol headquarters, covering all eight states of northeast, parts of Bihar and West Bengal. The yoga camp organized at Maligaon will be attended by hundreds of railway officers, staff and their family members. The celebration of the Intertiol Yoga Day has been organized according to the the directives and instructions of the Union Ministry of AYUSH to train and educate railway employees on various facets of yoga and thereby inculcate in them the habit of a healthy lifestyle to keep mind and body fit. Yoga is found to be of immense help for railway employees working under stressful conditions day and night keeping the tion’s lifeline running. It is also helpful in leading a tension free as well as physically and mentally motivated to work with devotion and single minded attention.
