NFR pavilion gets first position in AXX exhibition

GUWAHATI, Feb 27: N F Railway pavilion received the first position in the mega exhibition of Axom Xahitya Xabha held at Sivasagar from February 8 to 12 which attracted a large number of visitors. Many informative write ups, documentary films and models of Railways were displayed in the stall, a press release said.

Nripen Bhattacharya, Public Relations Officer of NF Railway received the award on February 26 at Hotel Brindavan, Sivasagar from Arup Sharma, ADC of Sibsagar district in presence of the exhibition committee’s president Suresh Saikia and secretary Ranjan Gogoi.

Awarding the prize and certificate to N F Railway as best pavilion, he appreciated Indian Railways for taking part in the Xahitya Xabha exhibition where lakhs of visitors gathered enough knowledge on railways from the stall. In this regards, the initiatives and deferent activities of Nripen Bhattacharya, Public Relations Officer of NF Railway will be remembered by AXX for arranging such an attractive exhibition, railway based quiz among the school students and arranging the media cum public interaction with Railways in the exhibition. He also appreciated Railway ministry for taking the developmental initiatives of Indian Railways for the North Eastern Region.

A large mascot, Bholu depicting the guard of Indian Railways placed in front of the pavilion attracted the visitors.  The automatic level crossing gate with Rajdhani express model, world heritage Darjeeling Himalayan Railway’s Toy Train model, world longest rail cum road Bogibeel Bridge model and world tallest railway bridge model of Manipur gave the immense pleasure to the visitors.

Railway Quiz Competition was also organised among the school students in front of the Railway Pavilion on February 11. The quiz was conducted PRO Bhattacharyya. On the last day of the exhibition on February 12, an interactive program with Railways was also held at the Railway pavilion where social worker and writer Somesh Deka, jourlist Trailakya Chetia, ONGC PRO Josirupa Kashyap took part. Taking part in the programme, PRO Bhattacharya gave the feedback from Railway side.
