NFR to Provide Dedicated Space for Breastfeeding

GUWAHATI, Aug 29: The mothers traveling on trains with their new-born babies, to and from Guwahati will now find a dedicated space for breastfeeding at the Guwahati Railway Station.

The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has facilitated three baby-feeding rooms at the Gauhati Railway Station. The move has been welcomed by everyone and has brought a sense of relief to the breastfeeding mothers.

The newly-constructed rooms have already become operational. They have all the basic facilities that a mother needs to feed her baby. The facility is currently available only at the Gauhati Railway Station, under NFR. However, the authorities are planning to construct such rooms in all the railway stations across Northeast.
