NFREU protest in city

GUWAHATI, May 3: At the call of the tiol Federation of Indian Railwaymen (NFIR), the NF Railway Employees’ Union (NFREU) has been staging protest against, what it said, the Centre’s anti-labour policies and neglect meted out by it to Central Government employees. The protest that started yesterday will continue till May 6. NFREU held a protest meeting and staged dhar in the yard of Guwahati Railway Station today. NFREU assistant secretary Debasishis Mukherjee, organizatiol secretary yan Kumar Barman, and other leaders were present at today’s protest. They Criticized the Centre’s anti-labour policy and opposed the move for foreign investment in Indian Railways.
