NFR's Tinsukia division undertakes digitization of official dealings

TINSUKIA, July 9: To maintain  100 per cent transparency in official dealings, Tinsukia division of the NF Railway has undertaken massive digitization of official dealings in many fields, stated a press release.

This is a step forward in view of Prime Minister’s digitization prgramme in Government’s dealing in India. Few of the digitization programme undertaken by Tinsukia division include all payments of staff as well as to vendors/contractors are paid through bank. SMS alert to vendors/contractors payment have been introduced. contractors/vendors get SMS alert for any payment released to them.  Secondly SMS based employees’ salary information has been introduced and single drawing account has been introduced by merging few drawing accounts and hence single cheque is issued at end of each day of transaction, thereby reducing chances of frauds in issuing multi cheque.

Kiosk based employees’ information system has been introduced by which any employee can know his service related information.

A new system called ARPAN(Advanced Rly Pension Access Networks) has been introduced to print out fil settlement dues paper in a single page of a retired staff. The print out is given in a good quality paper so that it is not easily get damaged- being important document for a pension holder.

Digitization of pension and service records of employees has been done. With this process old record files could be reduced.

Internet based employees information system has been introduced. Any employee can get his service related information by logging in the system.
