NFRSA in semis

GUWAHATI, May 10: Silchar bowed out from the Nuruddin Inter district Cricket tourment (elite group) losing the quarter fils tie against NFRSA for single run deficit  in the first innings at the Barsapara stadium here today.

The fate of the game was decided by the first innings lead and NFRSA, which maged to earn single run lead, qualified for the semi fils. In reply to Silchar’s first innings score 237, NFRSA bowled out 238 runs in their first innings today.

NFRSA started the day’s proceeding from their overnight score 27–1. Chandan Rawat (57, 90B, 4x4, 6x2) played a good knock. The other batsmen who contributed good scores on the board were Kul Saikia (42, 46B, 4x3, 6x2),Niraj Tiwari (34, 85B, 4x2, 6x1) and Arup Das (32, 91B, 4x2). Among the bowlers of Silchar Pritam Das and Prakash Bhagat picked up three wickets each.

Silchar were 20/1 in their second innings when the match came to an end today.

The first semi fil of the tourment will start from tomorrow where Guwahati will meet gaon.
