NFRSA win veteran cricket title

GUWAHATI, March 28: NFRSA clinched the 7th Madhurjya Prasad Baruah and Md Mukhtar Hussain Veteran Inter District and Inter Institutiol T20 cricket tourment defeating Dibrugarh by 51 runs in the fil held at the Nehru stadium here today. Elected to bat, Guwahati took their score to 198-2 in their 20 overs. Chiranjib Changmai (82, 54 balls, 4X5, 6X6) was the top scorer while RB Indrajit (61) and Rajesh Bora (50 no), also scored half centuries. Dibrugarh maged to score 147-4 in their 20 overs. Chiranjib Changmai later adjudged the man of the fil award. He also recived the best batsman award. Indrajit Konwar of Dibrugarh collected the best bowler award of the meet. On the other hand R B Indrajit was selected for the man of the tourment award. The closing function was attended by Bikash Baruah, secretary, ACA, as the chief guest, former cricketers-Badal Thakur, Bimal Bharali, Shankar Dutta Lahkar, ba Konwar, bab Ali, Umesh Sarma, along with two trophy doners Raj Barooah (son of M P Barooah) and Ree Hussain (wife of Md Mukhtar Hussain).
