NGO distributes food packets, clothes

DIBRUGARH, June 3: Newly floated NGO Sampoor, in its meeting held at DHSK Commerce College here recently doted food packets and clothes among the socially and fincially deprived needy people in general and orphans, blind, physically and mentally challenged people in particular.

In the meeting the secretary of Sampoor, Arpa Bhuyan, stated that as these people have been denied any government assistance, their organization to understand the problems and conditions of such people, have resolute to provide them medical assistance. Moreover, Sampoor would take steps for preparation of documents needed for receiving government aids, together with setting up of a permanent home for such needy people.

In this regard, a memorandum was also submitted to the Deputy Commissioner for allocating a land for a building up of a home for the disadvantaged persons. The meeting presided over by Zebin Sulta.
