NH–37 blocked by Tiwa organizations

GAON, January 21: Several activists of different Tiwa organizations under the leadership of the Tiwa Jatiya Oikya Mancha blocked the NH–37 at Dimou on Wednesday demonstrating against the corruption taking place in the Tiwa Autonomous Council.

The activists slammed the present Council, accused the EMs of huge corruption and demanded immediate dissolution of the Council.

The activists also demanded to stop the fincial transaction for the 2014–15 fiscal and appealed for re–election to the Council. The organizations submitted a memorandum with 5 clauses to Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi through gaon DC.

President of the Tiwa Students’ Union, Dharmashing Bordoloi, Secretary of Tiwa Students’ Council, Ratneswar Deori, Secretary, Tiwa Woman Committee, Juli Mithi, and activists of ADSF, Tiwa Security Council, Woman Welfare Committee took part in the demonstration.
