MARGHERITA, January 13: Under the supervision of Margherita Police station officer in-charge Debojit Mahanta, nine gamblers were apprehended from Ketetong Bazaar under Margherita Police Station along with gambling items.
The nine gamblers have been identified as Tankeswar Maan (32) of Ketetong Bazaar, Ratbir Thapa (36) of Khaman Pather, Aison Pomung (45) of Margherita, Padmeswar Gohain (28) of Khaman Pather, Ashok Lembo (31) of Ketetong, Mon Bahadur Chetry (28)of Powai Bongaon, Chankyo Seng (32) of Ketetong Bazaar, Sunil yak (22)of Margherita and Anwar Hussain (35) of Digboi. All the nine arrested gamblers along with the gambling items were brought to Marghetita Police station and the gamblers would be remanded to judicial custody, said Debojit Mahanta.
