NIT Silchar to hold 14th csonvocation on May 14

SILCHAR, May 4: tiol Institute of Technology, Silchar will conduct its 14th convocation on May 14 from 10 am at the New Auditorium, Sports Complex of the Institute. The members of the board of governors and the Sete have requested everybody to be present on the convocation. The prestigious ceremony will have Professor Ajoy Kumar Ray, director, Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur as its chief guest. Professor Ray will deliver the convocation address. N V Deshpande, Director, tiol Institute of Technology, Silchar, said the programme will start with an academic procession followed by invocation with tiol anthem. The director of the Institute will put a presentation of report forth. After Professor Ajoy Kumar Ray’s convocation address, medals will be presented to the students. More items in the programme list comprise awarding degrees to the recipients that will be followed by the pledge taking session by the recipients of the degree. The convocation will end with the singing of the tiol Anthem. Various precautiory measures like issuing of passes, disallowing cameras, briefcases and bags have been taken to ensure safety and security of everyone present. To mention decorum, everyone has been requested to switch off their cell phones during the entire proceedings.
