ITAGAR, Feb 13: Aruchal Pradesh DGP S Nithiyandam has assured to move the State government for out of turn promotion for Constable Nisu Konia, who on February 7 last flew Aruchal Pradesh Police flag high by being adjudged as Mr Junior India among 311 participants of the country during the 6th Junior Bodybuilding Championship-2016 at Bhakta Ramadasu Kala Kshetram, Telega.

The DGP’s assurance came when media adviser of Aruchal Body Building Association (ABBA) Pradeep Kumar submitted a written plea to him at the PHQ here on Friday.

“You had drawn my attention few days ago about the issue. Though there is no such provision so far and I assure to move the State government to relax the rules to give out of promotion to this talented constable who would win more laurels at tiol level for the State, police in particular,” he said.

When his attention was drawn towards the 10% job reservation in police department for good performing sports persons, Konia being the reigning MR Aruchal for 2014 & 2015 and gold medal winner in North East India Body Building Championship deserves a special consideration, the DGP said that would strengthen your proposal.

The DGP also spoke to Konia’s father, East Kameng SP Tam Konia who informed that his son is pursuing fil year BA.

ABBA president Abham K Techi also thanked the DGP for his generosity.
