No contribution of Modi in freedom movement: Ripun Borah

Rangia, February 19: APCC organized Gandhi Sabha at Rangia Hindi Vidyapith Higher Secondary School on Thursday. The meeting was presided over by Tariful Islam, president of Rangia block Congress Committee. AICC secretary Abdul Hann, APCC spokesperson and former minister Ripun Borah, Kisor Bhatta, Dimbeswar Gupta and other leaders of Congress were present in the meeting. The meeting was iugurated by Ghashyam Kalita, local MLA and Parliamentary Secretary. He called upon all members to remain united.  He said that the meeting had been organized in order to train the grassroots-level workers. Abdul Hann, AICC secretary, and former minister Ripun Borah criticized the Prime Minister. They said that that there had been no contribution of rendra Modi and his party in the Indian freedom movement. If the Congress had not fought against the British, Modi could not have become the Prime Minister of the country, they claimed. The leaders urged the Congress workers to go door-to-door in order to make people aware about the schemes implemented by the State Government and about the flaws of the Central Government.
