No electricity supply in 479 polling stations in Morigaon

JAGIROAD: Out of 812 polling stations in the district of Morigaon, 479 polling stations do not have electricity supply. The administration now has to provide temporary electricity connection in those polling stations.

While stating this in a meeting with the polling officials, the Deputy Commissioner of Morigaon, Rituraj Bora also said that out of 479 polling stations, there was no provision for providing temporary electricity in 93 polling stations of the district. However, the DC directed APDCL to provide temporary electricity in all other polling stations of the district.

Many government LP and MV schools do not have sufficient furniture, toilet and drinking water facilities. The Sarba Siksha Abhiyan has been spending crores of rupees in the name of infrastructure development of government schools but practically no improvement can be seen, alleged a section of conscious citizens.
