Notorious bike lifter in police custody

Silchar, May 5:  A 24 year old notorious bike lifter Rakib Ahmed Laskar, son of Kakhuruddin Laskar of Ghaniala, Borobari under Silchar police station was arrested on Friday by Silchar police in Silchar town area and recovered a motor cycle which is suspected to be a stolen one. On cross checking criminal records, it has been found that Rakib Ahmed Laskar has been involved in a number of cases. He has been arrested earlier in Silchar police station case no - 209/2018, under section 379 of the Indian Penal Code IPC. The motor cycle bearing No AS 11G 3714 was recovered on January 26, 2018 from his possession. 

On further interrogation, he revealed the location of another stolen motor cycle bearing No AS 11K 3823, in reference to Silchar police station case no 264/18 under section 379/511 of the Indian Penal Code. This motor cycle has also been recovered. Rakib Ahmed Laskar has been forwarded on January 26, 2018 in reference to both the cases. Now interrogation is going on for further recovery. In another incident one motor cycle bearing No AS AS11 D 2898 suspected to be stolen has been recovered at Saidpur Part - IV by Sonai police.
