NPP kicks off first election rally for Tura by-poll

BOKO, April 25: Younger son of former Lok Sabha speaker and Tura MP Late PA Sangma, Conrad Sangma kicked off his election campaigning for the by-poll to the Tura Lok Sabha seat as the official candidate of tiol People’s Party at Adokgre on Monday.

The by-poll was necessitated following the sudden demise of PA Sangma on March 4. Election commission has announced by election on May 16. NPP candidate will file his nomition on April 27 at Tura.

Before filling nomition, Conrad kicked off the election rally from Adokgre, 15 km from NH 37, keeping in the tradition of Late PA Sangma to start his campaign Adokgre.

Former union minister and Conrad’s sister Agatha Sangma was also present in the rally.
