NPS stars feted on Achievers' Day

GUWAHATI, June 18: Excitement was in the air as NPS Intertiol School, Guwahati held its Achievers’ Day celebrations on Saturday (June 18, 2016) evening. Beaming children strutted in mind-blowing costumes as the audience cheered and music roared. Amid such mesmerizing moments, meritorious students, who brought laurels to the school during the year, council members were felicitated by the distinguished guests present in the meeting. Laptops, gold plated plaques, tablets, wrist watches; gift vouchers were also distributed to those NPS students who brought laurels to the school.

NPS students who secured ranks in the JEE-Mains Advanced 2016 along with those who secured above 90% marks in the CBSE 2016 were also felicitated during the programme. For his overall performance in both academics and co-curricular activities, Chandan Kumar Singh was selected as the Student of the Year.

The Brahmaputra Auditorium of the school lit up with a colourful line of impressive performances produced by different sections of students of the school. There was never a dull moment with dazzling dances to pulsating beats, sweet singing and stunning skits, all combined with a good measure of creativity and hard work. The colourful dances to the tune of Indian Classical Music, folk songs of various northeastern tribes to the Western dance forms everyone was spellbound by the performance of the NPS students. Proud parents and guests thoroughly enjoyed the performances by the children who displayed confidence and self esteem in every performance.

The progress of NPS Intertiol School, Guwahati in different areas, including achievements of students, especially in academics, filmmaking, intertiol events, at SA, winning highest quality control award and the unique philosophy of the school etc., were outlined by Mr JN Das, founder and chairman of the school, during his iugural speech. He also reiterated his commitment to make this school one of the leading schools of the country.

Thanking everyone present in the event, school principal Probhati Biswas also spoke on the achievements of the school during the year. This was stated in a press release.
