NRC update begins in Barpeta

BARPETA, March 29: With the opening of 178 service centers for the tiol Register of Citizens (NRC) the process of much awaited updating of NRC gets under way in Barpeta district today.

Deputy Commissioner Varli Deka iugurated a centre known as NSK in the office of PWD (Rural Roads) and persolly experienced the process. She witnessed the process of providing the legacy data for the citizens which is necessary for entering the mes in the NRC and requested the people to avail the opportunity of these centre.

The forms for the purpose will be distributed house to house within a day or two. Filled up forms with documentary evidences will be accepted in the NSKs. The Deputy Commissioner requested all the officials and people to cooperate in the process so that updating of the all important document completes peacefully.
