Silchar : NRC Update, Sufficient forces have been deployed in all the 17 NRC Seva Kendras of Lakhipur.

People in large numbers are visiting their respective NRC Seva Kendras to check their names in the final draft NRC list which was published on Monday last.

SSB, Lakhipur police and VDP personnel have been keeping a vigilant eye on the NSKs. 5 VDP personnel and 4 SSB jawans have been deployed at every NSK. ADC J R Lalsim, SDO (Civil) in-charge, Lakhipur, Gaurav Kumar Aggarwal, SDPO, Lakhipur, Inspector Anwar Hussain Choudhury, officer in-charge, Lakhipur police station, Bhola Nath, SSB’s assistant commandant and the three magistrates Pradip Kumar Gupta, Pritam Raja Sharma and Yahidul Islam, have been working day and night to ensure that no untoward incident takes place.

Rajen Goala, deputy advisor, VDP, Lakhipur and Pijush Palit, COVDO, Lakhipur, have alerted all the VDP personnel. In case any unpleasant incident takes places, VDP personnel will be the first to tackle the situation. LRCRs L Kabung, Dharnidhar Kalita, Sudip Sarkar, Dilip Roy and others are performing their duties with utmost sincerity.
