NRL wax exported to Indonesia, Dominican Republic

Guwahati, Feb 15: NRL Wax is now on its way to Indonesia and Dominican Republic. An  export consignment comprising of 40 MT of Fully Refined Paraffin Wax (FRPW) was flagged off to the 2 countries from NRL’s Marketing Termil today on February 15 by GM(Tech) NRL N. Borthakur. With this, the total export of Paraffin Wax from NRL’s Wax Plant stands at 2,172 MT. Earlier, NRL Wax has been exported to 8 countries viz. Mexico, Kenya, Nepal, Bangladesh, Nicaragua, Thailand , Hong Kong(Chi) and Brazil. The Company is also pursuing opportunities to export Wax to a few other countries in the near future.

Prime Minister of India rendra Modi dedicated NRL’s Wax Plant to the tion on February 6, 2016. The 50,000 Metric Tonnes (MT) Wax Plant commissioned in March 2015 at a cost of Rs. 676 crores is the country’s largest Wax producing unit with indigenous technology developed by IIP Dehradun, EIL and NRL. Since commissioning of the Wax plant, NRL has emerged as the largest manufacturer and marketer of Wax in the country.
