NSCN (IM) cadre apprehended in Assam-Nagaland Border

Sonari/Guwahati: Based on a secret information security forces launched an operation and apprehended one NSCN (IM) cadre at the border areas of Assam-Nagaland on Tuesday.

The NSCN (IM) cadre was identified as Wanglai Konyank is a resident of Lankhu Village under Mon District in Nagaland.

It may further be mentioned that the NSCN (IM) cadre Wanglai Konyank was involved in several extortions in the region since last few months.

During the operation, Security forces recovered one .22 pistol from his possession.

As per reports, the custody of the NSCN(IM) cadre was handed over to Namtola Police Station.

Meanwhile, the cadre has been interrogated by the Namtola Police.
