NSCN (IM) militant bbed

TINSUKIA, Feb 27: The Longding battalion of Assam Rifles based in Aruchal Pradesh under the aegis of DAO division, after an extensive counter-insurgency operation bbed a hardcore NSCN (IM) militant identified as lance corporal Akha Wangsu from Longding town on Monday morning and recovered a pistol and few live ammunition.

According to reports, Wangsu was involved in large-scale extortion and intimidation in the area. Yet in another operation, the Changlang battalion of Assam Rifles apprehended an NSCN (K) cadre identified as Machow Ngaimong from Mulong village recently. He was involved in extortion, according to Army sources.
