Ganesh Ch Bezbaruah

Ganesh Ch Bezbaruah (83), a resident of Amolapatty, Sivasagar town passed away on April 18. He was a popular citizen and an employee of the State Health Department. Bezbaruah was associated with many social and cultural organizations of the town. Moreover, he was an actor who played various roles in different plays which were staged in the Hindu Dharma Xabha Naamghar. He leaves behind his wife, two sons, two daughters and a host of relatives. His death has been mourned by all.

Jadu Nath Saikia

Jadu Nath Saikia, a trade union leader and former vice president NFRMU and president of Dibrugarh branch of NFRMU passed away at a private nursing home in Dibrugarh on Wednesday due to prolonged illness. He was 88. A die-hard revolutionary, late Saikia was imprisoned during Emergency period. Various organisations of Railways including NFRMU, AIRF deeply condoled the death of the union leader. He leaves behind two sons and a daughter. His wife had predeceased him.
