Jugendra Nath Borkatoky

J ugendra Nath Borkatoky, social worker, resident of Jhanji Balamia village and retired officer of the Indian Postal Department passed away on April 28 at his residence due to old-age ailment. He was 97. He was the member of the family which donated land for Jhanji Higher Secondary School. Besides, he was actively associated with the Jhanji Jamuguri Durga Puja Samiti, Jhanji Jamuguri Bishnu Yajna Mandir and other socio-cultural organizations. His demise has been widely mourned in the entire Jhanji area. He is survived by his wife, five sons, a married daughter and a host of relatives.
