OBITUARY

Salil Banerjee, a former teacher of English in Tinsukia College, passed away due cardiac arrest at his Salt Lake residence in Kolkata on Tuesday. Banerjee, a prolific writer and a teacher of high reverence, had served the college from 1964 to 1981. He was 75. The college fraternity expressed deep shock and condolence to the bereaved family. He leaves behind a daughter and a grandson. His wife had predeceased him almost 10 years back.
