Obituary

Advocate Susen Konwar passed away on January 19 at a private nursing home in Guwahati. Konwar was born in the year 1948 in Bhehpara, Dhemaji. He graduated from Dhemaji College and took his LL.B degree and started legal practice in Dhemaji Court.

Konwar was a popular football player and he was associated with the game till 1972. He passed the football referee examition and was busy in this profession for some years. He joined politics and contested election as a BJP candidate. He was active in politics for some time and left politics and became a devotee of Brahmakumari Iswariya University. He was suffering from diabetes since the past few years.

 Observing his deteriorating health, he was shifted to Guwahati and admitted in the nursing home. He breathed his last on January 19 at 10.40 pm. He leaves behind his wife, two sons and one daughter.  Dhemaji Bar Association and the Dhemaji BJP office have condoled his death and prayed for eterl peace of the departed soul.
