Odisha get its first high-performance centre

Bhubaneswar: Abhinav Bindra Targeting Performance Centre, the first high-performance centre in Odisha, was on Monday inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at Kalinga Stadium here.

This will create easy access to all sportspersons of Odisha and its neighbouring states to world-class equipment, said a statement.

The centre's services would include performance enhancement, injury prevention and management, biomechanics, physiology testing and training, recovery as well as strength and conditioning training.

Even though Abhinav Bindra has multiple centres across the country, this is the most advanced, with world-class equipment, the statement said. IANS
