KOKRAJHAR, July 17: Many offices are being beautified and cleaned up ahead of the scheduled visit of Assam Governor Jagadish Mukhi to Kokrajhar. This will be his first visit to Kokrajhar being the constitutional head of the BTC formed under 6th schedule of the Constitution of India. The broken road portions in the town are being repaired, some offices are being cleaned up and painted and roads leading to certain places have been cleaned to welcome the Governor. The Governor will hold meeting with security agencies at the Circuit House, followed by meeting with the heads of the departments in presence of Principal Secretary, BTC. He will also visit schools, colleges and hospitals. He will hold discussion with the chief of BTC, EM and MCLAs at the BTC Secretariat and will meet the delegations of religious, social, sports, literary, student bodies and political parties at the Circuit House. Finally he will interact with the media persons.

Interestingly, while many offices have been cleaned ahead of the visit of the Governor, the ASEB, Lower Assam Division office and DTO continue to remain dirty as the Governor will not visit these offices.
