OIL should preserve and develop historical places: AYP

DULIAJAN, April 4: The president of Asom Yuba Parishad (AYP), Sunil Rajkonwer in a memorandum submitted on April 3 to CMD of OIL through RCE of OIL, stated that under CSR scheme’s Oil India Limited (OIL) should take initiative for scientific preservation and development of historic Charaidu Maidam, Ronghar and Karangghar and also demanded to construct an intertiol standard stadium in Dibrugarh district. AYP has also demanded tender work as category 1, category 2 and category 3 in the Civil Engineering and Supply departments to local youths. Rajkonwar demanded cent per cent reservation for indigenous Assamese people in case of recruitment in magement, executive and fourth grade categories at OIL within three months from submitting of the memorandum. Under CSR schemes, OIL should also undertake various works like construction of bridges, road repairing and development in Dibrugarh and Tinsukia districts, he demanded. He also demanded that OIL should take initiative to build two ITA centres at Digboi and Moran for the development of unemployment youths.
