One abducted at gunpoint

Diphu, March 13: Suspected militants abducted an employee of Lamchakhan High school from his residence under Kheroni police station of Hamren subdivision close to Lanka town of gaon district at 7.30 pm on Thursday. The kidpped person has been identified as Basu Upadhaya. According to police a group of about five armed miscreants stormed inside Updhay’s residence and asked  him to come out. The terrified family members and the victim screamed for help and at this the ultras fired few shots in air and warned the neighbours to remain silent. The armed miscreants dragged him out of his house and walked him away in darkness to an unknown location. Kheroni police has launched  massive search operation but till filing of this report no information of Upadhaya could be gathered.
