Silchar, May 1: Acting on a tip off, Cachar police arrested a notorious criminal Nazim Uddin Laskar, son of Rabiyul Ali Laskar of Sonabarighat, Uttar Krish-napur Part I, in the late hours of Saturday from Kanakpur Part – II. A case was registered against him vide Silchar Police Station case no 1174/18 under section 380 of the IPC. He was an accomplice of another notorious criminal Kamrul Islam Barbhuyian alias Lekoi who had been also arrested by police recently. Upon interrogation, Lekoi uttered Nazim Uddin's name. In this regard, another raid was conducted at the house of Chanky, a criminal, at Kathal road of this town. Though, Chanky is absconding, police recovered a stolen motorcycle from his house.
