One arrested

GUWAHATI, June 19: The Latasil Police arrested one identified as Diganta Deka (23) from Uzan Bazar on Tuesday allegedly for stealing a mobile handset owned by advocate Rabin Medhi. According to police source, during the offering of Puja at Ugratara Temple on June 16, the accused has stolen the advocate’s handset and deserted the temple premise. In connection with the incident, a case, no 119/18 US 379 was registered at Fatasil police station following which the accused was arrested today.
