One arrested under rcotics Act

MANGALDAI, April 2:  Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by Sub-Inspector Ranjit Hazarika of Town Branch of Mangaldai police station bbed Faimuddin Ali (28), son of Bachu Sheikh of Hirapara, Dhula from Mangaldai town on Wednesday night in connection with illegal selling, supply and possession of banned rcotic drugs in the form of cough syrup. Police were reportedly on the lookout for the accused following arrest of one of his accomplices, Raju Das (31), son of Dulal Das of Ward no 2 of Mangaldai town last year with 96 bottles of such banned drugs, each containing 100 ml of drugs. A case (No. 748/2014 under section 21(c) of rcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act has already been registered against them at Mangaldai police station. Other members involved in the racket are still absconding, said police.
