One dead in bike accident, four injured

TANGLA, May 29: A road accident due to collision of two speeding bikes coming from the same direction in Udalguri claimed one life, injuring four others on Saturday night. Reportedly, the bikes bearing registration numbers AS27 A-4218 and AS25-F 1394 collided resulting in death of one, critically injuring four others. As per eye-witness, the impact of the collision was so severe that riders and pillion riders were dragged 10-15 meters after collision. All the injured were rushed to Udalguri Civil Hospital, out of which Rakesh Daimari (27) was declared brought dead. Rajen Daimari, Bidyaraj Musahari, Prasenjit Basumatari and Udangsdar Basumatari, who were stated to be in critical condition, were taken to GNRC. While one bike had one pillion rider, the other had two pillion riders.
