One dead, one injured in road mishap

DEMOW, May 28: A road accident took place in NH-37 Road in Rajabari Tili on Friday night where a person died on the spot and the other person was seriously injured.

According to sources, on Friday night a Tata AC car (AS 03 B 0166) which was coming from Tinsukia and going to Jorhat, lost control in Rajabari Tili in NH-37 road and hit a big tree. Hari Lal Kalanji (45) of Jorhat Kumar Koiborta Gaon died on the spot while resh Karmakar (38) of Titabor Rangajan, who was driving the car, was injured and immediately taken to Demow Model Hospital for treatment. After providing primary treatment, he was referred to Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh for further treatment.

On Saturday morning, the Demow Police reached the accident spot and took the body of Hari Lal Kalanji. It was sent for post mortem to Sivasagar Civil Hospital.
